Luxury brasserie on the first floor of Gare de Lyon, built for the World's Fair and opened in 1901 by the President, Emile Loubet. Two rooms classed as historical monuments.
The restaurant is also renowned for the 41 paintings on its walls and ceilings - the most famous amongst them represent the landscapes passed by the trains of the PLM network.
Among their loyal customers were Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Cocteau and Dail and Jean Gabin. Luc Besson also made the place famous with his film Nikita. The restaurant is still as popular as ever, with 500 diners every day at the Train Bleu.
