In the heart of the Palais-Royal, Le Grand Véfour is an iconic institution of Parisian gastronomy and lifestyle, founded in the late 18th century and listed as a historic monument. Frequented throughout its history by such prominent figures as Napoleon Bonaparte, Victor Hugo and Colette, it embodies the French art of living, at the crossroads of culture, politics and gastronomy. Now run by Paris Society, the restaurant is currently headed by chef Bruno Doucet, who serves elegant French cuisine that blends tradition with modernity. In the warmer months, its terrace spills out into the gardens of the Palais-Royal.
