In the 8th arrondissement. Michelin-starred restaurant L'Arôme serves French cuisine with a contemporary touch, bearing the creative mark of chef Thomas Boullault, who has previously worked at the Royal Monceau and the Georges V. Since 2008 he has been working in an entirely re-thought-out restaurant where the kitchen, open on to the room, gives the otherwise very refined decor a bit of a friendly atmosphere. The owner, Eric Martins, has retained a strong passion for matching dishes to the right wines from his time working with chef Alain Senderens. L'Arôme's wine cellar therefore holds essential vintages but also other more ordinary wines hunted out with his expert eye to enhance Boullault's creations.
