In the heart of Paris, discover one of the greatest achievements of the reign of Louis XIV: the Hôtel national des Invalides. Distinguishable from the Parisian sky thanks to its gilding, the famous Dome has housed the monumental tomb of Napoleon I since 1861.
Built to house veterans and wounded soldiers, this prestigious setting is now home to the Musée de l'Armée, which boasts one of the world's largest collections of military art and history. Armour of the Kings of France, weapons, uniforms, paintings, photographs...
Immerse yourself in history thanks to over 500,000 objects presented on an educational trail that takes you from the Bronze Age to the present day.
In addition to the works of art, interactive displays give visitors a better understanding of the great battles that have shaped history, particularly in the rooms devoted to the two world wars and in the Historial Charles de Gaulle.
The new tour of Les Invalides, between History and Memories, features some exceptional items that have been restored, such as Napoleon's personal effects and the remarkable model of the Hôtel national des Invalides.
The visitor experience has also been completely rethought.
