Commissioned in 1901 from the architect Henri Grandpierre, by Winaretta Singer - princesse Edmond de Polignac - ,the Hôtel de Polignac is built in the architectural style of the 18th century. Since 1945, the building has been the seat of the Fondation Singer-Polignac. Created in 1928 by Winnaretta Singer, the Foundation is dedicated to sponsoring the arts, humanities, and sciences. It organizes conferences, symposia, and musical residencies.
