In the last ten years, the Belleville district has become the meeting point for many young trendy Parisians.

There are many bobo bars to choose from down boulevard de Belleville and rue de Ménilmontant such as the uniquely furnished Onze Bar which often hosts live musicians. There is also the famous Café Chéri(e), a highlight of the Belleville district, that attracts a large crowd at the weekend with its terrace and DJ sets.

At La Sardine in Place Saint-Marthe, you can enjoy well-priced tapas in the peace and quiet of their prized terrace.

Along the Ourcq Canal, a lot of popular bars have also undergone a bobo transformation. These include Le BarOurcq, known for its affordable prices and sun loungers and Mama Kin, a music bar where bands regularly perform.

La Rotonde, at the end of the Ourcq Canal near to the Jaurès metro station, is also well located at Place Stalingrad. Parisians enjoy the terrace, and, at night, DJs play their different sets.
