Every year in summer, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, which was one of the sources of inspiration for the Palace of Versailles, plunges visitors into the heart of the 17th century to relive, the splendour and pomp of this outstanding stately home, for a few hours.

Every Saturday during the Candle-light evening until sunset, from 1 June to 28 September 2024 - From 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm
First garden in the French style, created by the famous landscape architect André Le Nôtre, the garden at Vaux-le-Vicomte is punctuated with ornamental ponds and fountains that play for 1h30 in summer creating a magical and refreshing scene.

Every Saturday from June 1 to September 28, 2024 - 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm
At nightfall, the chateau and garden are illuminated with more than 2,000 candles. Visitors enjoy classical music and discover the elegant atmosphere of the famous celebrations organized by Nicolas Fouquet on 17 August 1661 in honour of King Louis XIV. The evening finishes with a fireworks display at 11pm!

Winter 2024
During the winter, and particularly for the end of year celebrations, the castle and gardens of Vaux-le-Vicomte are illuminated for a magical and enchanting show - inside and out. Horse-drawn carriage rides are offered for the occasion. This winter, Jean de La Fontaine and his fables are in the spotlight.
