A splendid day out
The Chantilly Estate offers visitors a truly unique experience with its magnificent chateau, the Condé Museum, the largest princely stables in Europe, the Horse Museum and a vast park.
The chateau has fine period furniture, prestigious antique books, and the most important collection of old paintings after the Louvre (including masterpieces by famous artists such as Delacroix, Poussin and Botticelli), the chateau-museum offers a unique insight into History and the History of Art.
The majestic Grand Stables now house the Horse Museum. Commissioned by Louis Henri de Bourbon in 1719, they offer a unique setting in which to discover the world of horses.
The park of the Chantilly Estate (115 hectares of greenery) is a majestic panorama of the art of Western gardens. Visitors can discover the garden started by Le Nôtre (in the 17th century), the Anglo-Chinese garden and the English garden. An atypical and grandiose area which will delight nature and outdoor enthusiasts.
A unique place to discover with the family
With a huge range of things to do and different places to eat at, the Chantilly Estate is ideal for a family outing!
On sunny days, the Estate's park has lots for all the family to enjoy: a 4,000 m² maze, little train rides, booklet with games, play areas and a treasure hunt for 8-12-year-olds.
At the Grand Stables, dressage demonstrations, shows and an introduction to Shetland ponies (and mini-Shetlands) will delight children. Designed especially for families, the Horse Museum trail for 7-12-year-olds offers a fun discovery of our four-legged friends.
Finally, throughout the year, the Chantilly Estate organizes special family weekends with offbeat events for seeing the richness of the area in a different way.
