The area between the Louvre and Opéra, the Palais-Royal and the district around rue Saint-Honoré are classic shopping spots. Vintage haute couture at Didier Ludot, the doyen of the place, with his famous little black dresses, luxury windows at Rick Owens and Stella McCartney.
The gardens of the Palais-Royal are bordered with the Montpensier and Valois galleries, which are full of renowned craftsmen and designers. Dresses are colourful at Jérôme L'Huillier. François Hénin, the proprietor of Jovoy perfumes, has chosen rue de Castiglione to give a new showcase to his extraordinary perfumes. As for shoe fans, they rush to Pierre Hardy, Jimmy Choo or Christian Louboutin and his new men’s boutique. Trendy brands such as Maje, or Kitsuné with its clothes and accessories, have also chosen this district to show off their collections.
In 2013, H&M opened & Other Stories, the group’s new concept of an upscale ready-to-wear boutique, in rue Saint-Honoré.
