Hotels with a unique atmosphere

A hotel, a concept, a unique experience

Levitation beds? A historic hotel with an Asian touch ? Decor that reinvents Paris within bedroom interiors? Instead of offering classic accommodation, some establishments wager on the unusual.

Boutique hotels, as well as some large groups, are going more and more for original decor to charm clients. They opt for an unusual concept to offer guests an out-of-the-ordinary experience. The Hotel Eldorado Paris takes you back to the world of Victor Hugo's residence in Guernsey, with a touch of Victorian Orientalism. Each of the 26 rooms is unique, with Persian motifs, rattan furniture, Roaring Twenties sconces and more. The Seven Hôtel, for example, offers its guests levitation beds … An unconventional idea in keeping with the futuristic atmosphere of the place.
The Shangri-La Paris, part of the Asian group Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, mixes two very different styles. Installed in the former private mansion house of Prince Roland Bonaparte, in rue Saint-Honoré, it is characterized by French 19th-century aestheticism with a strong Asian influence. This association and the talent of decorator Pierre-Yves Rochon, who was at the origin of this combination, have enabled this luxury hotel to receive the Prix Villégiature 2011 for the finest interior design.
Devised by the hotel group Murano & Resort, the Paris Murano Resort, situated next to Place de la République, offers a suite with outdoor swimming pool that changes colour ... A luxury not often found in the French capital.
