If you love cycling, come and experience Veloscenic trail! Cross 4 regions over 450 km between Paris and Mont Saint-Michel Bay in Normandy and enjoy the variety of architecture, nature and gastronomy that this part of France has to offer.
The route incorporates the regional nature parks of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, Perche and Normandy-Maine, as well as Notre-Dame cathedral and the banks of the Seine in Paris, the Palace of Versailles, Notre-Dame de Chartres and Mont Saint-Michel – 5 listed UNESCO World Heritage sites, and more.
Throughout the trail you will find accommodation with the label ‘Accueil Vélo’, a national certification which guarantees a quality welcome and services for cyclists along cycle routes. In Paris, the Yves Robert youth hostel, the Holiday Inn Express Paris - Canal de La Villette, the rental company Paulette and the bicycle tour agency Paris à Vélo have received the ‘Accueil Vélo’ label.
Our member Paris Bike Tour offers a cycling trip from Paris to Chartres for those who wish to ride part of the Véloscénie. This trip includes accommodation for 3 nights, luggage transfers, entrance tickets for the Château de Versailles, return transport from Chartres to Paris, the bike and accessories...
The Cinécylo Tour is an original concept of travelling open-air cinema. The spectators actively participate in each session as the video projector and the two speakers are powered by a cinecyclobox installed on the bike while pedalling!

Regarding the section crossing Paris and the surrounding area, you will be able to use the bus lanes that drivers are used to sharing with the many cyclists of the city between Notre-Dame and the district of Montparnasse. After Montparnasse, the car-free ‘Coulée Verte René Dumont’ greenway will take you to Massy. The route is 98% signposted and should be completed during 2023.
