Choosing a beauty salon for men in Paris

Parisian salons, both specialist and otherwise, are reinventing men's fitness and grooming.

That's right, spas are not just for women, and the majority of treatments are open to - and strongly recommended for - men! Scrubs, massages, facial and body treatments, hair removal... The possibilities are endless and beauty experts always adapt the services to the person, whatever their identity. Not only that but some places - like the spa at hotel La Reserve, chain of salons Les Comptoirs du Soin and the spas at the Mandarin Oriental and the Hôtel de Crillon, for example - offer treatments specially designed for men. As do the many hair removal salons offering hair removal services for men. Likewise, the big aesthetic treatment centres, including clinics providing laser skincare and hair removal, such as Lazeo, offer men’s versions of their services. Some men, however, prefer to go for specialist salons to get the best fit for their specific expectations and needs, so some salons have chosen to focus only on men's grooming.

For Gentlemen Only centres, with their carefully-designed, stylish and understated decor, have put together extensive treatment menus including facial and body treatments, massages, muscle relaxation and fitness, manicures and pedicures, hair removal, hairstyling and more.

Some establishments have their own shop selling beauty treatment products, and a bar-restaurant, making it feel even more like a club. Perfect for chilling out and enjoying a bit of self-care on your own or with friends.

To stock up on cosmetics, head to the city's department stores, which very often have men’s sections, or cosmetics and fragrance shops like Comptoir de l’Homme, to find products from big names and new players on the scene like Horace, which has three shops in Paris.

When it comes to treatments, Cercle Delacre and Bel Homme Institut are meccas of male beauty where you can benefit from a wide range of treatments from massages to manicures, not forgetting hair removal.

Finally, barbers also often offer treatments for the face or hands for some extra self-care after your consultation, haircut or beard trim.
