Pont Marie

Quai des Célestins - Quai de Bourbon - 75004 Paris Notre-Dame - Île Saint-Louis
Louis XIII laid the first stone of this small bridge in the 4th arrondissement in 1604. Around 50 houses lined the bridge in the 17th century, but were later demolished. Classed as a historic monument in 1887, the Pont Marie connects the Marais (at the Hôtel de Sens, a superb 15th-century building) with the Ile Saint-Louis, home to several restaurants and to Berthillon, the famed artisanal ice cream parlour.
