RESTAURANT WITH AN ORIGINAL LOCATION OR ENTERTAINMENT
Le Georges
Centre Pompidou - place Georges Pompidou - 75004 Paris
Châtelet - Les Halles
The Georges restaurant on the sixth floor of the Pompidou Centre offers one of the most beautiful views of Paris. Project architects Dominique Jacob and Brendan McFarlane were careful to acknowledge the Centre’s idiosyncratic architecture, and came up with minimalist but exceptionally avant-garde design involving aluminium sheeting with fluid contours for the interior of the restaurant. The menu features inventive world cooking and fresh takes on French classics. The Pink Bar, a vodka bar tucked away in an alcove, has a highly unusual list of cocktails.
