Meet the artists and discover their production studios

The Association des Ateliers du Père Lachaise Associés (A.P.L.A.), founded in 1988 under the French law of 1901, today brings together more than fifty visual artists based in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, between Rue de Bagnolet, Rue des Pyrénées, Rue d'Avron and Boulevard de Charonne. Every year, in May and November/December, A.P.L.A. organizes open days that are unique in Paris. These events offer the public an exceptional opportunity to visit the artists' studios of Père-Lachaise, to discover often little-known creative spaces, and to meet the artists directly in their working environment. Painters, sculptors, photographers, engravers, ceramists: a wide variety of artistic disciplines are represented. These artists share their passion, present their original works, explain their creative process and exchange ideas with a curious public, both amateurs and enthusiasts of contemporary art and visual art. This cultural event is also an opportunity for new talent to exhibit for the first time and gain visibility in the art world. A not-to-be-missed artistic event in eastern Paris. To consult the list of open studios, the exact dates of the next open house or obtain further information, visit the official A.P.L.A. website or local information points.
