The Associated Studios of Père Lachaise invite the public to meet the artists and discover their studios at these special open days
The Associated Studios of Père Lachaise (abbreviated to A.P.L.A in French) is an association of artists, founded in 1988. It regroups around fifty artists whose studios are located in the Père-Lachaise area and the south of the 20th district in Paris.
Every year, in May and December, the Associated Studios of Père Lachaise invite the public to meet the artists and discover their studios at these special open days. Painters, sculptors, photographers, engravers and ceramicists open the doors of their studios, showing how they create their works and providing an opportunity for art-lovers to meet and talk to them.
This popular event is also an opportunity for some artists to exhibit their work for the first time and make a name for themselves. Wander among canvases and potters' wheels as you discover these quirky and unusual creative spaces during this event.
You'll find a full list of studios open to the public on the association's website, or at information points.
