Spotlight on Lebanese-American artist Simone Fattal and her ever-evolving creativity
The exhibition “Simone Fattal: Cities at the Bottom of a Lake,” on view from 18 September to 24 January 2027, at the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris, invites visitors to discover the Lebanese-American artist Simone Fattal and her career spanning more than fifty years. Born in 1942 in Damascus, she lived in Beirut and then in California before settling permanently in Paris. Through approximately one hundred works, the exhibition explores the artist’s creativity throughout her multifaceted career, from her early landscape paintings to her ceramics and contemporary collages.
