When a photo becomes a declaration of love!

On view through 4 October 2026, at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, the exhibition “Daido Moriyama. Love Letters to Photography” is on view at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson through October 4, 2026, and celebrates the almost existential relationship Daido Moriyama has maintained with this medium since the 1960s. Far from a traditional chronological retrospective, the exhibition highlights the Japanese artist’s obsessive quest for the very nature of the image. Through his essays, his provocative works such as “Shasin yo sayonara” (Farewell to Photography), and his poetic mise en abyme, Daido Moriyama deconstructs traditional rules and holds up a fascinating mirror to photography.
From 11am to 7pm. Closed on Monday.
€10. Reduced rate: €6.
