Over the summer, Paris becomes a seaside resort with the Paris Plages (Paris Beaches) event
Every year during the summer, the banks of Paris take on the allure of iodized shores. Bungalows, deckchairs, palm trees... everything is in place to make the most of the mild summer weather, not in pairs but this time in three main locations: the Parc Rives de Seine, the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal Saint-Martin! There are plenty of activities on offer for young and old alike: swimming and water sports in the Bassin de la Villette, as well as children's workshops, board games, books, exhibitions and a host of other events. For this 2026 edition of Paris Plages, the United States is in the spotlight to mark the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
