THEATRE/CONCERT HALL

Théâtre national de l’Opéra Comique

1 place Boieldieu - 75002 Paris Opéra - Grands Boulevards
Far from the hustle and bustle of the Boulevard des Italiens, the Opéra Comique is a little-known gem in the heart of Paris. With 300 years of history, this theatre has survived fires and closures to be reborn even better than before. The first theatre in Europe to be lit by electricity, it is even said to have inspired the Eiffel Tower. The birthplace of masterpieces such as Carmen and La Damnation de Faust, it continues to surprise today with its contemporary and daring programme. A place steeped in history, always looking towards the future.
