Built between 1860 and 1871, this church is located on the crossroads of Boulevard Haussmann and Boulevard Malesherbes. The architecture, designed by Victor Baltard, blends Romanesque and Byzantine art with an 80-metre high cupola, housed inside a 100-metre high building. Metal and cast iron were used for its framework as well as the angels that decorate the church. The chapels, which surround the nave up to the choir, are progressively more finely crafted and monumental.
