The Monnaie de Paris, the oldest business in the world, was created in the year 864 after the Edict of Pistres. It is still in service, and is responsible for the production of coins in circulation in France.
After several years of renovation work, this historic building is getting a second lease of life with the MétaLmorphoses project. Temporary exhibitions and cultural events are now regularly organized. The palace in which the Monnaie de Paris is housed, classed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is also opening some of its spaces to be hired out for private or professional events. The Cour de la Méridienne and the Cour d’Honneur can host receptions for up to 900 people.
