Things to see and do

You won't want to miss the Luxembourg Gardens and its museum, a haven of peace and a culture venue. Stroll along the elegant paths of the garden before visiting the museum’s current exhibition. Two major exhibitions are programmed each year. On the other side of the river Seine, another must see, and a landmark heritage site, is the Conciergerie, the residence and seat of power of the kings of France in the Middle Ages, and then prison of the Parliament of Paris towards the end of the 14th century. For lovers of local produce, the Musée Vivant du Fromage offers guided tastings to explore the richness and diversity of French cheeses. A treat for the taste buds!
