Local Flavorists is a self-guided food tour of Paris.
Instead of having to follow a group or guide at a fixed time, you receive vouchers enabling you to visit a number of carefully selected addresses whenever you like, to sample the French specialties on offer. The experience can be enjoyed at your own pace, in a single day or spread over several days, throughout your stay in Paris.
This self-guided food tour invites you to discover another side of the capital: more local, quieter and more personal. There's no rush from one tasting to the next, just the pleasure of taking your time: settling down, savoring a whole dish, talking, observing, and making the most of each place.
The itinerary takes you through 4 independent addresses located in (or near) several of Paris's most emblematic districts, including Montmartre, Pigalle, Le Marais and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Each address has been carefully chosen for the quality of its food, its atmosphere, and above all, the expertise of the artisans who bring it to life.
The aim is to introduce visitors to lesser-known addresses than the ultra-touristy must-sees, and to spotlight independent establishments that are popular with locals.
You'll be accompanied by a printed guidebook containing explanations of the specialties tasted, anecdotes, French culinary traditions, portraits of participating artisans and local recommendations to help you discover Paris in a different way!
