Paris is the most filmed city in the world. Cinema has had a thousand ways of representing it through its characters and stories, authentic or imagined.
Since 2011, Ciné-Balade has been developing, for each tour, anecdotes of films and important characters from the history of cinema and linked them to the history of a place.
During our numerous tours, you can follow the footsteps of a filmmaker (François Truffaut, Agnès Varda, Georges Méliès) or immerse yourself in the history of a neighborhood through the films that have represented it. In Montmartre, Amélie Poulain but also many films pay tribute to the artists of the Butte. In the Latin Quarter, the film Midnight in Paris takes us back to the Paris of the 20s.
On the Ile de la Cité, romanticism and musicals take center stage.
You can also meet the pioneers of cinema around the Opera House or stroll along the Bassin de la Villette or in Ménilmontant.
