The Latin Quarter is a must-see part of the capital, located in the 5th arrondissement on the Left Bank. Parisians, students and tourists meet there all year round in the many cafés and restaurants in the district, in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There are dozens of sights to see, including the Panthéon, the Musée de Cluny, the Luxembourg Gardens and Museum, and the Arènes de Lutèce. As you stroll along, you'll come across the Sorbonne (a famous university), the Collège de France, the Lycée Henri IV, the Rue Mouffetard, the Rue Monge and the Place de la Contrescarpe. The Paradis Latin, the Odéon theatre and the Caveau de la Huchette are among the most popular theatres in the district.
