Place des Victoires

Place des Victoires - 75002 Paris Louvre
Before being a popular spot for fashion and designers, this almost perfect circle was a high place of royal worship. Eager to gain the good graces of his king, the Marquis de la Feuillade designed it to house a triumphant statue of the King. Louis XIV was delighted with it, and the courtier died impoverished.
