Les chais de Bercy

41 rue Paul Belmondo - 75012 Paris Gare de Lyon - Bercy
Built in the 19th century by the architect Lheureux, the 42 Bercy wine storehouses once housed the largest wine market in the world. Listed as a historical monument, these stone pavilions with brick vaults and interior metal structures are grouped around the Cour Saint-Émilion, a paved street cum courtyard. The former wagon rails are still in place on the ground. Today, these renovated wine storehouses make up Bercy Village, an open-air centre with numerous shops, restaurants, a cinema complex with some thirty screens, and the marvellous Musée des Arts Forains.
