Place du Trocadéro - 75016 Paris
Trocadéro - Passy
There's nothing like the Trocadéro and its esplanade for admiring the Eiffel Tower, which stands opposite on the other bank of the Seine. The Trocadero esplanade is surrounded by the curving wings of the Palais de Chaillot, a 1930s landmark that houses the Musée de l'Homme, the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, the Musée national de la Marine and Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse. At the foot of the esplanade, the gently sloping Trocadero gardens offer a beautiful walk. In the centre of the gardens stands the famous Warsaw Fountain with its 20 cannons and, on either side of the Palais de Chaillot, two English-style gardens where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll. The gardens also provide access to the magnificent Paris Aquarium.
