Located in the heart of the 10th arrondissement and just a 10-minute walk from Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est welcomes 37 million visitors a year. Trains depart for the Grand Est of France, as well as international destinations (Germany, Luxembourg...). Inaugurated by Napoleon III in 1850, it is the oldest of the Parisian stations, with a rich historical past, which can be seen in its architecture.

Visitors will be able to find a varied range of restaurants, combining large popular and innovative brands. It is also possible to shop at a rich and varied range of national brands.

An exceptional moment awaits the visitor on the station rooftop. Overhung by its sublime rosette glass roof, it offers a bar and snack bar opposite one of the most original views of Paris .

The Gare de l'Est station houses a real curiosity: a 110 m² bunker dating from 1941, which can be visited on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.


Locker fees (flat-rate fee for initial 24-hour rental period): small locker - €5.50; medium locker - €7.50; large locker - €9.50. Then €5 per each additional 24-hour period.


The station is open every day (including public holidays) from 5am to 11.30pm. Baggage lockers are available every day (including public holidays) from 8am to 8pm on Metro level, near the bakery Paul.
