Chinatown - Quartier chinois

Avenue de Choisy - Avenue d'Ivry - 75013 Paris Place d’Italie – Chinese district

Chinatown gains a new place of remembrance and history. Located in the Parc de Choisy, the Stèle en mémoire des victimes de l'agent orange was inaugurated on April 25, 2026. An important memorial during your exploration of the 13th arrondissement.

A tribute to the victims of Agent Orange:

  • This European first honors the victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos
  • A commemorative stele and a "handkerchief tree" planted as a symbol of justice
  • An exhibition on the park's gates accompanies the new monument, explaining the historical and health issues surrounding this ecocide
Between the Avenues de Choisy, d’Ivry and the ring road lies the Chinese district of Paris. Restaurants with flashing neon signs can be found next to supermarkets selling all kinds of exotic produce. The highlight of the year is the parade for the Chinese New Year with its dragons, traditional costumes, lanterns and lions dancing to the beat of lively music.
