Chartreuse Paris-Vauvert invites you to discover a singular cultural venue in the heart of the 6ᵉ arrondissement, entirely dedicated to five centuries of Chartreuse history. The tour begins in our museographic spaces, where we retrace the monks' settlement in Vauvert as early as 1257, their daily life, their know-how and the birth of the first Chartreuse distillery, now no longer in existence. The discovery continues with an outdoor tour that leads to the Jardin du Luxembourg, following in the footsteps of the vanished monastery and the evolution of the district. The site also offers sensory immersion through a variety of activities: tastings of Chartreuse's emblematic liqueurs, a cocktail workshop led by our teams, a herbalist workshop where you can create your own macerate from aromatic plants, or a vertical tasting in our hidden bar, an intimate and unexpected space where you can explore the evolution of aromas through the decades. Each experience highlights the unique heritage of the Carthusian monks, their mastery of medicinal plants and the astonishing complexity of their liqueurs and herbal teas. Finally, visitors have the opportunity to buy on the spot as a gift: an activity, items based on plants and the Carthusian world, and souvenirs inspired by this rich heritage. Chartreuse Paris-Vauvert thus offers a complete venue where history, sensory exploration, gustatory discoveries and unique experiences combine to rediscover Paris from a new angle.
