Some 50 metres from the church of Saint-Sulpice, is a specialist shop called Au plat d'étain, established in Paris in 1775. Step inside to discover a vast choice of toy soldiers and collectors’ figurines produced by top makers including CBG Mignot, Lucotte, Tradition of London, and Marlborough. They also sell the two-dimensional painted pewter figurines and decorative items (plats d’étain) that give the shop its name. Varying in size and representing a variety of themes, these are all hand-made and hand-painted. The shop also offers a repair and retouch service and can assess the value of your collection.
