The Musée Jacquemart-André, located in a 19th-century mansion in the vicinity of the Champs-Elysées, houses a significant private collection of works by Flemish painters and Italian Renaissance sculptors, rare furnishings and more.
If the collection is a treat for the eyes then the menu at the café is a treat for the palate. Housed within one of the former dining rooms of the mansion, the Le Nélie is one of the loveliest tea rooms in Paris. Featuring lavishly carved Louis XV consoles, 18th-century tapestries, a Tiepolo fresco on the ceiling and crystal chandeliers, the café opens onto a pretty terrace inside the museum courtyard in summertime.
Accessible independently of the museum, the Le Nélie is the perfect place to enjoy a selection of pastries from some of the best pastry shops in Paris, a gourmet lunch or Sunday brunch.
