The Place Gambetta kiosk is part of a network of tourist information points set up within newspaper kiosks in Paris and Greater Paris in partnership with JCDecaux. The kiosk owners - who are supplied with specific signage - become ambassadors of the destination and provide information about the tourist attractions in the area. The kiosk at Place Gambetta gives direct access to the Père Lachaise cemetery, where many cultural and political figures are laid to rest. Many of the graves are works of art in themselves. The Ménilmontant and Campagne districts of Paris are within easy reach.
