For several years, Viparis has been seeking to reduce its environmental footprint and share its best practices with its clients and partners. In 2014, Viparis was the first event industry player to be certified ISO 20121, the international standard for the event industry, for all of its sites, with the following issues identified: energy efficiency, responsible purchasing, and public awareness.
In 2016, a community of CSR ambassadors was formed to help implement this sustainable development strategy on a daily basis at each site. In 2017, a carbon footprint assessment was carried out, as well as a series of interviews with internal and external stakeholders on the challenges (current and 2030) in terms of sustainable development.
Based on this expertise, the Viparis Better Events - Viparis 2030 CSR programme launched in 2018 sets out Viparis' environmental and societal ambitions through precise and quantified objectives for 2030.
Viparis is now strengthening its CSR ambition around 3 pillars, adding key elements on the corporate culture around the values of trust, evolution and sharing as well as commitments in terms of inclusion and public awareness.
