Launched in 1919, the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS) are linked to the Robert de Sorbon foundation, acknowledged for its public utility in 2009. Every year, these courses welcome a diverse group of international students eager to enhance their command of French and their understanding of French culture. The institution stands out for its wide range of linguistic programs, thereby contributing to the international spread of French culture.
With a student body coming from around 160 countries, especially from Asia and America, the CCFS represent a melting pot of global cultural experiences. Located near the prestigious Sorbonne University, they offer top-tier education, recognized by the quality label FLE (French as a Foreign Language) awarded by France Education International, in acknowledgment of the excellence of their linguistic program and the quality of their services.
Situated in the heart of Paris, the CCFS enjoy a setting conducive to total immersion in French life and culture, where learning the language is accompanied by discovering the cultural and heritage riches of France, in the iconic environment of the Sorbonne.
In 2023, with expertise developed over the years, the CCFS continue to lead in teaching French and facilitating access to French culture and civilization.
