Beit Haverim - Groupe Juif LGBT de France

NC - 75 Paris
The Beit Haverim ("House of friends" in Hebrew) is France’s Jewish gay and lesbian group, founded in 1977, and one of the oldest French homosexual associations. It brings together, in a spirit of acceptance, openness and diversity, nearly 200 members and more than 500 supporters: Jews, Judophiles, gays, lesbians and their friends. The Beit Haverim aims to bring together, welcome and support Jews, homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders, their close friends and family. It seeks to represent and defend their interests, to create a place where they feel welcome, listened to, and are able to meet others and find fulfilment. A place of reflection, especially considering this double identity; fighting discrimination and especially all kinds of expressions of homophobia and antisemitism. Since its creation, the Beit Haverim has been part of the World Congress of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Jews.
