Wine is part of the Parisian art of living. With its many wine bars, bistros and cafes, there is no shortage of places to enjoy a delicious glass of French or international wine. The French are proud and fond of their wine, a symbol of their gastronomy which makes viticulture the most profitable agricultural sector, even if vines represent only 3% of agricultural land. The Paris region sells more than 700 million bottles each year from France and around the world, while Paris has about 10 vines spread throughout the city (Paris Bagatelle, Eglise St Germain des Prés...) and 150 throughout the Paris Region.
But Paris isn't just about wine production. There are also many local beers produced by microbreweries such as Brasserie de l'Être, and 100% Parisian spirits and liqueurs made by passionate craftsmen such as those at Distillerie du Viaduc, who produce gin using traditional methods and sourced products. You don't have to drink to have fun, and the capital's first alcohol-free cellar won't deny it! Le Paon Qui Boit invites you to discover a wide range of tasty and surprising drinks, close to the Buttes Chaumont. Since then, alcohol-free cellar initiatives have been multiplying in Paris as Déjà Bu?, Drinks&Co and others offering a varied, high-quality alternative to alcoholic drinks.
