The Schubertiade in Sceaux

The Schubertiade de Sceaux is the latest in a series of musical events celebrating chamber music

From 15 November 2025 to 11 April 2026, the town of Sceaux will be hosting the 6th edition of the Schubertiade de Sceaux. Launched in 2018 by Elisabeth Atanassov and Pierre-Kaloyann Atanassov, this musical event offers the chance to discover chamber music once a month through a series of concerts by established artists and young talents. On the programme for this new edition: 15 November 2025, at 5pm ‘Chausson puts on a show!’ - Svetlin Roussev (violin) and Pierre-Kaloyann Atanassov (piano); Quatuor Girard (two violins, viola, cello). Works by Schubert, Ravel, Zlatev-Tcherkin and Chausson (Concerto for violin, piano and string quartet). 13 December 2025, at 5pm ‘Abracadabra!’ - Béatrice Berrut (piano). Programme including Dukas (transcription by Berrut), Liszt, Saint-Saëns/Liszt, Tchaikovsky and an original work by Berrut. 10 January 2026, at 5 p.m. ‘Si l’alto m’était conté !’ - Diyang Mei (viola) and Suzana Bartal (piano). Works by Schumann, Brahms, Tanguy and Prokofiev. 24 January 2026, at 5pm ‘Le Beethoven français’ - Trio Atanassov (Perceval Gilles, violin; Sarah Sultan, cello; Pierre-Kaloyann Atanassov, piano). Programme: Schubert's Trio op.99 and George Onslow's Trio No.10. 14 February 2026, at 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. ‘Bou'schub’ - musical show for young audiences L’OIGNON FAIT LA FORCE (musical tale for children aged 5 and over) by Anne Le Feunten (text & voice) and Aude Speller (violin). 14 February 2026, at 5pm ‘Bicentenaire 131’ - Aviv Quartet (string quartet). Programme: Schubert and Beethoven (Op. 131). 11 April 2026, at 5 p.m. ‘Offenbach & Les Trois Empereurs’ - show written and directed by Christophe Barbier, with Pauline Courtin (soprano and actress) and Vadim Sher (piano & acting): a scenic journey through Offenbach and his world.
