Le Bourgeois gentilhomme, a play by Molière

Molière's comedy-ballet returns to the Comédie-Française in a revisited version with unbridled imagination

From 7 May to 14 July 2025, the Comédie-Française will present Le Bourgeois gentilhomme in a daring production by Valérie Lesort and Christian Hecq. Created in 2021, this version of Molière's famous comedy-ballet, with its unbridled imagination, takes the audience on a journey into the world of Balkan music and the whimsical and naive spirit of Monsieur Jourdain. Having come into wealth, Monsieur Jourdain wishes to complete his education by learning how to use weapons, dance, music and philosophy. The show can be translated into English via connected glasses (to be booked in advance).
