Paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings and photographs… showcase the world of shipping and seafaring

The 46th edition of the Salon de la Marine will take place at the National Maritime Museum from 13 May to 2 August 2026, as part of the French Navy’s 400th anniversary celebrations. Organised by the museum, the Association of Naval Painters and the French Navy, it showcases the world of the navy through painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art and video. This year’s exhibition, themed ‘400 Years of Adventure and Combat’, aims to celebrate four centuries of naval service and contemporary artistic creation. The exhibition is organised into three sections, showcasing 43 works selected following an open call for entries, 33 works by Official Navy Painters (POM) and a tribute to the late Official Navy Painters. This year’s exhibition will also host the literary and musical event on 11 June, an extraordinary evening bringing together Erik Orsenna, Arnaud de La Grange and Patrick Deville, featuring readings of great maritime texts and musical interludes on the harp and flute.
From 11am to 7pm. From 11am to 10pm every first Thursday of the month. Closed on Tuesday.
€15. Reduced rate: €12. Free for people under 26.
