A free day of picnics, art, and performances in the heart of the MAC VAL and its garden
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, MAC VAL invites the public to the 8th edition of PIC NIC, a fun-filled day combining art, nature, and cultural discoveries. In the museum’s gardens and throughout the exhibitions, visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a festive celebration themed this year as “Feet on the ground, head in the stars!”
Designed as a celebration open to everyone, the event features a rich program of participatory workshops, tours, performances, artistic encounters, and musical performances. This day is also an opportunity to discover or rediscover the museum’s current exhibitions, notably *Le genre idéal* and *Ici grand ouvert* by the artist SMITH. Throughout the day, artists, organizations, and cultural figures will take over the spaces at MAC VAL to foster a dialogue between contemporary creation, imagination, and community. Visitors can bring their own picnic or enjoy lunch at the museum restaurant on the terrace or in the garden.
