The Cours de Vincennes is the setting for the Course des Triporteurs, a festive sporting event paying tribute to a Parisian tradition dating back to 1900

On September 20, 2026, Paris revives a popular sporting tradition: the Course des Triporteurs. Born in 1900 and run annually until 1943, this emblematic event returns for its second modern edition on the Cours de Vincennes, in the 20th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Place de la Nation. The event pays homage to the bicycle delivery men who left their mark on the capital's history. More than 20 km of racing - 15 loops of 1.42 km - an enthusiastic public and the award of the Marcel Cognasson Trophy celebrate the spirit of endurance and conviviality that has always made this competition unique. Now an annual event, the Course des Triporteurs combines performance, neighborhood festivities and the memory of a working-class Paris. The race is followed by a grand cyclo-parade. Gourmet stalls (crêpes, ice creams, hot dogs, Italian specialities) manned by three-wheelers complete the experience.
