Open Swim Stars Paris is an open water swimming challenge in the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal de l'Ourcq, between Paris and Pantin
On 5 and 6 July 2025, Open Swim Stars will transform the Seine and the Canal de l'Ourcq into aquatic competition venues, inviting amateurs and experienced swimmers to choose from a range of distances: 500 m, 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 5 km with fins or 4x500 m relays. Organised in the spirit of the legendary Traversée de Paris à la nage (Paris swim), this edition will take place in the Marie branch of the Seine, between Île Saint-Louis and Hôtel de Ville, and on the Canal de l'Ourcq between Bassin de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement and Pantin. There will be a swimmers' village, changing rooms, showers, supervision and awareness-raising about water and environmental issues. A unique opportunity to combine sport, urban discovery and respect for the Seine.
Saturday, 5 July 2025: from 2pm to 6pm. Sunday, 6 July 2025: from 7am to 12pm.
