Festivities during the Duchess of Maine's reign
The Château de Sceaux celebrates the magic of Christmas, taking visitors back to the sumptuous festivities hosted by the Duchess of Maine in the 17th and 18th centuries. In a magical setting inspired by this historic era, the Château's rooms come alive with installations, large puppets and stagings created with the participation of the public and schools. Visitors can enjoy storytelling tours, children's booklets and themed workshops, as well as events focusing on the customs, heritage and entertainment of yesteryear. Admission includes all activities, and the Château is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, 1pm to 5pm (last admission at 4:30pm).
