Les Femmes s'en Mêlent (LFSM) is a festival dedicated to the promotion of female artists in contemporary music since 1997
Since its founding on March 8, 1997, in Paris, LFSM has been working to increase the visibility of female artists in contemporary music. The festival offers an eclectic lineup blending rock, electronic, folk, hip-hop, and much more, showcasing both emerging and established talents from the international female music scene. Over the years, Les Femmes s’en mêlent has hosted renowned artists such as Christine & The Queens, Cat Power, Jeanne Added, Emilie Simon, Soko, Yelle, Regina Spektor, Nouvelle Vague, Daphné, La Grande Sophie, Corine, Austra, Courtney Barnett, and Irène Drésel. The festival takes place in several cities across France and around the world, offering concerts, workshops, conferences, and discussions to promote gender equality and the visibility of LGBTQIA+ artists in contemporary music.
