The MAC VAL celebrates 20 years of commitment to contemporary art in France with a brand new exhibition. Curated by a group of artists, the exhibition invites the public to rediscover emblematic works from the MAC VAL collection. The exhibition "Le genre idéal. En principe, une tentative d'épuisement" boldly explores the hierarchy of genres in painting, questioning codes established since the 17th century through striking creations by leading and emerging artists.
