France has been passionate about Japanese culture for over 40 years—ever since that day in 1978 when Antenne 2 first aired the animated series *Goldorak*. This French enthusiasm has never waned. Having grown up with heroes like Son Goku and Nicky Larson, the founders of Japan Expo wanted to create an annual event that showcases all aspects of Japanese culture. Over the past 25 years, they’ve succeeded in making Japan Expo a leading European event. In addition to the large expo where you can discover the latest manga and video games, Japan Expo invites you to meet your idols. The highlight of the event is the cosplay contest, during which participants can showcase the full extent of their talents.
