Located beneath the Grande Arche, the Cité de l'Histoire offers a spectacular immersion into the defining moments of human history. Currently, the flagship exhibition is dedicated to the Forbidden City in Beijing. Enhance your visit with “La Clef des Siècles,” an immersive journey through 17 rooms retracing the history of France with spectacular sets and actors in period costumes. A giant interactive frieze, an exhibition on the Great Explorers, and themed workshops (sailors’ knots, “Little Legionnaire”) round out this adventure lasting over 3 hours. The History Bistro, a gift shop, and a bookstore extend the experience. You can also continue the adventure right there with the virtual reality experience “Éternelle Notre-Dame,” a gripping journey through 850 years of the cathedral’s history.
