Celebrate 'Hanami', the traditional cherry blossom festival in Sceaux
Every spring, the Japanese celebrate ‘Hanami’, an ancient custom in which families and friends gather to admire the cherry blossom trees (sakuras). The town of Sceaux invites you to take part in this traditional festival by coming to admire the 150 sakuras on the Domaine Départemental de Sceaux that are in flower in April, and also by enjoying festive events based around Japanese culture from 4 to 19 April 2026. On the programme: stalls specialising in Japanese products, guided tours, shows... Please note that this year, in order to protect the cherry trees on the Sceaux estate, the lawns beneath the cherry trees will only be accessible by reservation.
