Celebrate 'Hanami', the traditional cherry blossom festival in Sceaux

Every spring, the Japanese celebrate ‘Hanami’, an ancient custom in which families and friends gather to admire the cherry blossom trees (sakuras). The town of Sceaux invites you to take part in this traditional festival by coming to admire the 150 sakuras on the Domaine Départemental de Sceaux that are in flower in April, and also by enjoying festive events based around Japanese culture from 29 March to 27 April 2025n. On the programme: stalls specialising in Japanese products, cookery classes, a visit to the ‘Aurore, joie du renouveau’ exhibition at the Château de Sceaux, guided tours, shows, an ikebana demonstration, origami, calligraphy and koinobori workshops...
